My Bikes

Time to get up to date on my two wheeled transport. Way back on this blog, I was toying with the idea of a Triumph - which has now become a reality. A beautiful Bonneville now sits in the garage along with her stablemate, a Yamaha MT-03 - which is the little sister of that big beast I had before, the MT-01!

These two machines do all I need as far as bikes go. The Bonneville is bike to enjoy showing of to people and rides beautifully. It takes me back to the old days of biking, has leather panniers, real mud guards, comfortable seat and loads of chrome to polish! All this but with modern electronics, fuelling and reliability. The Yamaha is a fun workhorse, handles so well and does everything asked of it.

So there you have it. All that is needed now is the sunshine, dry and open roads - and good places at the roadside that serve fine bacon rolls where I can sit for a while and watch the world go by!

About Me

My photo
I live happily in Surrey, having left the Scottish Borders to be with my partner, Pam. Being a Gemini I tend to flounder amongst so many interests and passions. Photography, drawing and painting, making music, writing and air guns. I entitled this blog 'Grumpings' simply because it would make a nice spot to have a good old moan about things. However, I hope there will be gentler comments too - a good balance between my grumpy and more reflective moods! And if you want to join in....feel free.
